Notes

The Californian prickly pear is starting to grow at a prickly pear’s pace (fast). When the pad arrived, it had actually already started it’s spring growth. These growths died off, but the new ones are doing well as this photo indicates.

I am hoping to accurately identify it by using a tool that I can across tonight: http://www.discoverlife.org/mp/20q?guide=Opuntia. You just choose as much information as you know, and it tells you possible Prickly Pear species. It worked on my other species, see if it works for you and let me know!
