The glow coming from this Agave americana ‘Cornelius’, also called the Quasimoto agave by some growers, was pretty stunning.  The name is actually disputed by some - maybe Brian at Ruth Bancroft Garden can weigh in on this one.

Anyways, it is a great compact agave for use in pots or in the garden, growing to a foot and half with pups forming close to the main rosette.  It is likely winter hardy to 20 degrees or so here in Dallas and is said to be a slow grower.
